topcon GPS at work

In February 2006 Capogreco Excavations acquired Topcon’s GPS 3DXi indicate 3D GPS+ control system for the 322C CAT excavator, for the construction of the South Mildura Wetlands.

Owing to the complexity of the proposed works with numerous contour changes, flood plains, reed bed and pond areas Topcon provided the ultimate tool for the efficient excavation of the proposed site.

Modeling the surface area was completed using Civil3D (Autodesk) and transferred to the 3DXi indicate system using Office3D (Topcon).

After successfully completing the South Mildura Wetlands in August 2006 the 3DXi indicate 3D GPS+ control system was added to the 325DL CAT excavator. Thereafter the Henshilwood Basin was extended and Monash Wetlands were completed.

GPS 3DXi indicate 3D GPS+ control system has proven itself as a valuable tool from bulk excavation work to pipeline trenching (particularly deep sewer).
